A routine tale, the story begins on the backdrop of a jail where Venkatadri Naidu (Tarakaratna) is all set to take the gallows since he has already committed seven murders. As his last wish, Venkatadri says he wants to give a music concert and adds that the proceeds of the concert must be going to the welfare of an orphanage. His wish is granted and during the concert, the daughter (Mandeep Thakkar) of the Chief Minister is so impressed with the prowess of Venkatadri that she decides to pursue the matter and ensure that he gets a pardon from the highest authority. Not only that, she also ends up falling in love with Venkatadri. She is successful in doing so but then Venkatadri reveals his past and why he had to kill the seven people. The flashback dates back to the time of his darling sister (Riddhima) and family, all of whom are killed mercilessly by the family of Seshadri Naidu ('Maa' Prithvi). So now, Venkatadri says that he is still left with some balance of the enemies. How he wipes up the entire clan forms the rest of the story.
Analysis :
The director has come up with an old storyline and true to the age, even the narration and presentation were way below standards. The dialogues were dull, the script was weak, the screenplay was average. The music had a tinge of blaring noise and repetitive tunes so it was more of a hindrance. Cinematography was visually disturbing at times due to the rapid change in the frames. Editing was not to be seen at the right time. Locations were not apt, costumes were somewhat okay, art department did not have much to offer. Coming to the cast, Tarakaratna did his best to put adrenalin and seems to have improved as an actor and also in his dance but then his character was not etched out strongly but he was the saving grace for the movie. Both Mandeep and Sneha were not good enough either in looks or performance, Riddhima was blank, Sarath was regular, Prithvi was not to the fullest mark, Venu Madhav and Dharmavarapu did their best to evoke some laughs but failed. The others need no mention here.
TeluguOne Perspective :
The film was regular due to the fact that the story was quite regular and there was nothing new for the audience to really look forward to. Also, the technical aspects of the film were quite mediocre and the entire duration of the film was more like a predictable journey than anything else. While the first half goes about with a tale of romance and action, the second half follows revenge saga and sentiment mixed with melodrama. One can go for watching the performance of Tarakaratna.
