This flick is continuation of the earlier released part of "Raktha Charithra". While its first part dealt with Prathap Ravi (Vivek Oberoi) growing in to a strong force by eliminating his adversaries, the second part is about how the MLA's eldest son Surya (Suriya) tries to avenge his father's downfall and succeeds eventually. Coming back to the story - as part of eliminating his adversaries, Prathap Ravi gets bomb planted in a TV in which the entire family of MLA, except his eldest son and daughter-in-law, are killed. Till then Surya didn't think of killing Ravi, but with this incident he makes killing Ravi as his only aim in life. Surya fails in one of his attempts to kill Ravi and lands in jail on the suggestion of DCP Mohan Prasad. There too, Prathap Ravi's men try to kill Surya, but he survives. In jail Surya gets acquainted with an inmate Muddu Krishna. Surya garners political support from inside the jail, on the other hand, Prathap Ravi's political power gets reduced. Whether Surya succeeded in taking revenge.... what did Prathap Ravi do and what happened thereafter forms the rest of the story.
Analysis :
Varma's screenplay of this part excels than the first part. He tried his best in maintaining the originality of the story. Through DCP's character, Varma tried to impose that Suri too has the chances of becoming a factionist, as earlier Ravi has become one by opposing the injustice. Varma cleverly indicated the possibility of making "Raktha Charithra-3" by slowly zooming off the camera from the face of Surya to the infant in the lap of Ravi's wife. No one in the world is born as good or evil, circumstances make them what they are. Varma was successful in driving this point home, for which he should be appreciated. How Paritala faction will react to this, has to be waited and seen. Once again RGV has proved his distinct self by directing this film.Acting: Suriya performed fantastically in this movie. It won't be an exaggeration to say that his performance is at par with that of a national award winning level (Amitabh Bacchan personally called and told this to Suriya). Sky was the limit for Surya's acting in this flick, especially, in the scenes where all his family members die in the bomb blast and while he speaks to his wife. Vivek Oberoi succeeded in showing the struggle with-in himself brilliantly. Priyamani has been a national award winner previously and her acting in this movie is befitting to that. Others too performed well to the extent of their scope.
TeluguOne Perspective :
Music: Mani Sharma provided the flick with the exact 'dry-music', which it required. Varma rendered the 'katthula tho sahavasam... netthuti tho samaptham..' song very nicely. Re-recording can be termed as a high light of the movie. Background score too is good.
Cinematography: Camera work in this movie can match with Hollywood standards. Very good. Camera angles and lighting effects are captivating.Dialogues: Dialogues are brief, but effective.Lyrics: Songs are meaningful and have good lyrics.Editing: Superb.Art: Very good.Choreography: The movie doesn't have any dance able songs.Action: Action scenes in the movie depict the revengeful cold-blooded killings in a very cold-blooded way."If you are averse to seeing violence, then don't watch it. Can't say how kids and sensitive ladies will receive this gory flick. Watch it, only if you feel, you can cope with it."
