Dev's mother is a friend of Padma's mother and have come to see Padma on coming to know of her death. Surprised Padma asks her how she came to know about her mother's death. Dev's mother tells Padma that she came to know about it through her son. Sometimes he has the power to tell events that would happen in future. This power he got because of his 'Bhakti' towards God. There is a secret cult in America that worships 'Kali Purusha'. The cult's aim is to fill the world with sin, injustice and anarchy. They are cannibals too. Once, Dev inadvertently brings back to life a friend of Padma who committed suicide. In another incident, he saves the son of Padma's friend by killing one of the cult members. Though Padma gets impressed by Dev's latent powers, and realises that she loves him. Cult leader Raj wants to kill Dev and for that he kidnaps Padma. How Padma's past is related to Raj.... was Dev able to save Padma... what happens thereafter... forms the rest of the story.
Analysis :
It's something of a different kind of story away from the routine. There are no routine hero, heroine, dances, steps, double meaning dialogues in this movie. Though the narration is a bit slow, but keeps its identity as a different type of movie. The movie's concept itself is of a different variety. The flick is a visual meaning to the 'karma siddhantha' that Lord Krishna told in Bhagvadgeetha "Do your work sincerely and leave the result to me, you are supposed only to do your duty, you have no control over the outcome" and "Yada yada hi dharmasya glanirbhavathi bharatah....". It's difficult to say how far audience can understand this movie going by the director's high standards of thinking and its picturisation. Sesh Adavi has performed the dual roles of directing the movie and also acting as hero. He looks very glamorous on screen and so is flick's heroine Jade. Locations are very pleasing to the eye. Director took care in making its screenplay different from routine flicks. His acting too is of a different variety. It's a cool, stylish movie. Graphics are used to the extent they were needed.
TeluguOne Perspective :
Music: Different from the routine music we got used to. Though all the songs in the movie are good, the title song 'Karma..' will be liked by not only the listeners but also the viewers. Re-recording is good.Cinematography: Excellent. Some of the Ariel shots are exceptionally good. Lighting scheme too is good.Dialogues: Dialogues are apt and to the point.Lyrics: Lyrics of the first song are very inspiring to the present genre youth. Others songs too have good lyrics.Editing: Good.Art: Too good.Choreography: Natural and simple.Action: Fights look natural. Perhaps, for this reason they may not be fascinating. "To deviate from the routine flicks and willing to see a different kind of movie with an ability to understand the concept, you can watch this movie."
