Kiran Abbavaraam has been trying his luck with several movies but lately, they haven't been able to work at the box office. So, he took a gap of a year to make this movie, KA. Sujith and Sandeep directorial's trailer has been able to create a good anticipation and the film released for Diwali. Let's talk about the movie in detail.
Plot:
An orphan Abhinav Vasudev(Kiran Abbavaraam) is questioned by a masked man to reveal his past. He doesn't know where he is stuck and cannot understand how to escape. But he needs to reveal his past to the masked people to escape. So, he starts revealing his story. He was an assistant Post Man in Krishnagiri village. Girls from that village keep missing mysteriously and he starts to take interest in that. Why? How did he solve the issue? Did he solve it? Who are these masked people? Watch the movie to know more.
Analysis :
Kiran Abbavaraam is good in several scenes and he needs to improve in emotional scenes. He has been able to give a decent performance in the film. Tanvi Ram and Nayan Sarika are good and rest of the cast did decent job.
Production values for this movie are top class for the budget and the VFX work is decent. Cinematography takes highest marks after BGM by Sam CS. Both keep us engaged in the first hour while writing is a little uneven.
In the second hour, the interest factor diminishes due to the drag in few sequences and it feels like the makers wanted to oversell few emotions and even misdirect. There are some brilliant shots and masterfully elevated scenes by BGM but unnecessary importance to love story makes it a bit disengaging.
The climax points to a different end to the build-up and makers could have been much smarter in writing emotional connection between the two characters rather than the romantic portions. Few scenes feel like they are written for the sake of it rather than them being organically fit into the screenplay.
At places, the misdirection takes over the real direction and while climax does spring up a surprise element, the emotional connect is still amiss. A much better story development would have helped in movie becoming a decent watch.
TeluguOne Perspective :
KA works in parts due to technical brilliance.
