A good thought gone bad, the story is about Gopalam (rajendra prasad) who is a noted criminal lawyer but he is a henpecked husband. His wife Sita (sita) on the other hand is blindly doting on their son Parthu (parthu) and the youngster is rather reckless. The story takes a turn when Parthu kisses a girl (arthi puri) in the college. The girl's mother (sakunthala) is enraged and she vows revenge. Parthu escapes to Bangkok and there, he falls in love with another girl Meenakshi (chahat). Gopalam and Sita say yes to the marriage and everything is set. Do they get married? What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Analysis :
The director has come up with a presentable theme but he failed miserably in conceiving it to the screen. The presentation was poor and the narrative was amateur. The dialogues were silly, the script was horrendous and the screenplay was pathetic. Background score was okay but songs were not upto the mark. Cinematography is the saving grace of the film. Editing was required at many places. Costumes were flashy, art department was alright. Rajendra Prasad tried his best to get interest but in vain, Sitara was graceful, good to see Kasturi again, the major drawback of the film is the hero- Parthu was plastic to the core and he failed in every department, the heroines Chahat and Arthi Puri gave a visual feast and not much from them in acting department. Krishna Bhagawan was okay, Telangana Sakunthala was annoying, Brahmi was wasted, Venu was not upto the mark, the others didn't have much to offer.
TeluguOne Perspective :
The film suffers mainly due to two reasons - poor script writing and raw performance of the lead cast, it is only the seniors who brought some respect to the film. While the first half was stale and was unable to pick up, it was the second half which gains some attention before that collapses. With poor content and lackluster performances, the film fails to evoke any interest. Comedy track was quite weak and even that failed to generate any entertainment. This is a sure shot dud at the box office.
