Story: While traveling from Vijayawada to Hyderabad, Shiva (Varun Sandesh) saves a girl Maya, also travelling in the same train, from some people who are after her life. Shiva doesn't know any particulars of Maya, but helps her out of pity. Shiva's maternal uncle (Jayaprakash Reddy) is a movie buff and is very passionate about making a film. For this he hires a 'star director' (Bramhanandam). Bramhanandam starts narrating the story, scene by scene, on which the film is to be made. Strangely, the story matches word to word, as if a running commentary, with the ongoing story of Shiva and Maya. Who is Maya and why people are after her life, what is the mystery behind her, will Shiva and Jayaparakash Reddy's daughter Bhagya (Poonam Kaur) get married.... are the questions that get unfolded as the film progresses.

Analysis :

Bramhi Gadi Katha belongs to action cum suspense genre movie that has been well handled by the director V Eshwar Reddy from the beginning. Though Bramhi Gadi Katha story is not a new one, but has been narrated on screen very efficiently. It creates a sort of curiosity in the audience which makes them to remain glued to seats till the end of the movie. The suspense element in the movie has been well maintained. Bramhi Gadi Katha has been given a tag line 'The Live Story', which befits movie nicely. In place of getting curious about what is going to happen next scene, the viewers start thinking will it happen as Bramhanandam is narrating in the story. And this is what exactly keeps the audience interested throughout the movie.

Action: Varun Sandesh performed in this movie as he did in his previous ones. His US accent in delivering dialogues seems incorrigible, though he's around in the industry nearly for the past four years. He is just adequate in this movie. Femina Miss India 2011 winner Asmita Sood makes her acting debut with the flick and proves to be a good performer. However, her gaudy complexion makes the close-up shots worst at times. Poonam Kaur is just okay like any of her earlier roles, while Jaya Prakash Reddy in his Rayalaseema dialect is very funny.

Brahmanandam who plays the title role – 'Brahmigadu' turns a sort of narrator so as to explain the whole story to the viewers. His entry is a true highlight, like that of any of his previous movies, and he is hilarious at times. Krishnudu plays the friend of the hero and has tried with a different dialogue-delivery this time, which was highly amusing. He is amazing at the chase sequence in the first-half. The rest of the cast also performed well.

Music: Music by Koti can be rated below average and none of the songs are noteworthy.

Lyrics: Lyrics just pass through the ears without registering any impact on the brain.

Cinematography: Cinematography is okay and nothing in particular to mention.

Dialogues: Dialogues are penned keeping commercial elements in view, however, are witty and rib-tickling often at times.

Editing: Good and sharp, particularly in chase-scenes.

Art: Okay

Action: Passable.

TeluguOne Perspective :

Bramhi Gadi Katha is just an entertaining movie and can be seen once, if have nothing else to do. You can while away a couple of hours smiling and at times laughing loud.
