This is the life story of our beloved leader former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, late Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy. Starting with Rajasekhar Reddy's family background, the story moves on to show the severe famine at the time of his birth in Rayalaseema. It is shown as with Rajasekhar's birth, it starts raining as if to announce the end of famine. From there the flick shows how he became doctor and served poor people by charging only one rupee for treatment, his marriage and kids, later entering politics etc. Dr. Reddy's political career has been brought on to the screen completely in a simple way, so as to enable everyone to understand it. Nothing more is there in story other than this.
Analysis :
t should be noted here that this film's producer and director Giri Reddy doesn't have any experience in film making. He made the making of this film possible only due to the sheer liking and respect he has for Rajasekhar Reddy. He tried hard to make it as good as possible within the scope of his intellect. To some extent he has succeeded too! Some real sequences of Rajasekhar Reddy have been added in this film, which will definitely have their effect on the audience. Coming to the performance part, it can be said that senior actor Vinod Kumar who played Dr. Reddy's role, has done complete justice to it. So is actress Yamuna with her role. These two artistes are acting together after nearly twenty years. In remaining artistes, Sutthi Velu impresses in one song.
