James Cameron, the great Hollywood director, created the epic flick 'Avtar' in a huge budget of 1200 crores. As the name implies, "Avtar" has been inspired from an epic character in Indian mythology. Getting in to the story, the film begins with humans search for Unobtanium - a precious metal guarded by the natives of the distant planet Pandora. Our hero, Jake, an ex-marine, has been assigned the work to befriend with the natives of Pandora and obtain the secret of the Unobtanium. The scientists at the project, create a creature named "Avtar" that looks similar to the inhabitants of Pandora. Each Avtar has biolink to its human form in the project. This enables them to gain easy access to the metal they are looking for and attack the natives to take it to earth. Jake mingles with the natives in his Avatar form and wins the confidence of the princess and the inhabitants. His acquaintances with them changes his outlook and friction develops between Jake and the project personnel. How Jake's life changes and how the project continues to function forms the rest of the story.
