An absolute terror of a film by Krishna Murali, 'Aapadamokkulavadu' is the story of Rangayya Naidu (Nagendra Babu), who lives in the village, known for his courage and honesty and his helpful nature to people around, Rangayya is adored by all. But the existing conditions in the society and the incorrigible officers and politicians along with the atrocities committed against the poor bring out the messiah in him, but in a very violent manner. He sets out to clean up the system by going on a killing spree and at one stage becomes a God from a messiah to the whole of the village. How and why he becomes god and what is the reason for him to take a divine form (???) makes the rest of the story.
Analysis :
Director Posani Krishna Murali has yet again proved his eccentric nature with this film. While it takes a lot of sense and maturity to come up with a satire or comedy, what came across in the movie is more of a deranged version of conveying one's thoughts. With some of the most ridiculous scenes packed with some outrageously abusive language used in the script one really wonders what the director was upto, when he was making the film. The presentation is illogical, narration even worse. The other departments do not require any mentioning here. Nagendra Babu as the central protagonist really needs to understand few fundamentals before he takes up such a role. It is really surprising, how he has not attempted to change the path of the movie and instead became a dummy played by the director. Kota and Babu Mohan were too theatric. Asmita was okay but overdid few scenes.
TeluguOne Perspective :
A movie which has nothing to offer except some embarrassing dialogues and some gruesome scenes. The other side of it is the clear message, which goes to convey the insensible method of the director and his antics. While the first half was a bang on message about the entry of megastar Chiranjeevi into politics though conveyed in a layer, one wonders how that had anything to do with the movie. Some scenes just did not have the heart to understand what the audience will go through seeing them. This film has become a stone in the hand of an eccentric with its excessive vulgarity in the script and some really bloody violence and scenes.
