Buzz: Paid Criticism Business And Reviews
Updated : Jan 2, 2016
For some flicks that are rated with '3+' stars, generally the result is going to be disastrous at box office. Few movies that don't even get '2' stars make good money at box office. Ever wonder why this radical change in ratings and the ensuing box office collections? Here's one reason.
A recently released film is hailed as a next generation kind of feel-good movie and almost all the critics rated it with more than 3++ stars. But in general, many common audiences who have watched the film are bored with second half and writhing in pain. These are the same critics who rated Ye Maya Chesave with 3.5 stars and Run Raja Run with 3+ stars. Both those films have content, substance and presentation values, while this recent release is just having abuses hurled at girls and lovers but nothing else.
Actually there is thing prevalent in Film industry from a long time. Whenever a film is distributed by those people who are close to a website owner or a critic in USA, these ratings are boosted up. In the name of ads, these people buy out other critics too. That is leading to everyone giving 3+ stars for a film that's not even worthy of 2 stars. Paid criticism is good business these days.
