Lyca Productions halt Vijay son's directorial debut?

Lyca Productions have produced huge visual spectacles like 2.0, Kaththi, Ponniyin Selvan. They saw successes like Kolamavu Kokila, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, Vada Chennai, Don with big names and upcoming stars. But their big budget bets like Ram Setu, Chandramukhi 2, Lal Salaam, Indian 2, Vettaiyan, Vidaamuyarchi ended up being box office disasters.

Also, the financial issues in their parent company businesses have caused them to stop production for time being. While Indian 3 is still on hold, even after 90% of the film had been completed, the makers have announced Jason Sanjay, Thalapathy Vijay son's directorial debut with Sandeep Kishan.

The movie had gone on to the shooting floors earlier this year but currently it had been halted due to financial crisis, say reports. According to Media reports, an amount of 8 crores had been pending for clearance from Lyca Productions for the film shoot to be wrapped.

While Jason Sanjay or Sandeep Kishan can arrange such an amount, they have been waiting for a clear answer from Lyca, it seems. Earlier, Lyca asked for complete Rs.72 crores refund of their investment in L2: Empuraan before release. Now, they are unable to complete first copy basis promise to Jason Sanjay, say reports.

Well, Lyca Productions did face issues in completion of Ajith Kumar's Vidaamuyarchi and even Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan last year due to their crisis. We have to wait and see, how they will handle this issue as Vijay is trying to politically grow and his involvement in politics could rain more trouble to production house and Jason Sanjay.
