Is Lokesh bringing Rajinikanth into LCU?

Rumors are plentiful in Tamil Cinema circles that Superstar Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have accepted to do a dual hero project in the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj. Apparently, he narrated a script to both of them during Covid-19 pandemicand reports suggest that both will have negative shades.
While Rajinikanth wanted to be a part of it, Lokesh got other big opportunities and post Vikram, he seriously got down to take forward his ambitious Lokesh Cinematic Universe. As he got the opportunity to direct Rajinikanth, he kept Kaithi 2 on the back burner and completed Coolie.
He announced several times that he would like to go ahead with Kaithi 2, in which Rolex could be a part. So, many Tamil cinema fans are eagerly waiting for Dilli aka Karthi and Rolex aka Suriya face-off. But the latest developments suggest that Kamal Haasan, himself, brought up this topic and asked Lokesh to take up their project.
Even Rajinikanth has accepted to be a part of this project and he would allocate dates after completing Jailer 2 and rumored three month break from work. Meanwhile, even Kamal will be able to complete his project with action choreographers Anbarivu. Meanwhile, Lokesh will have complete this script.
Some reports even suggest that Kamal discussed about this project with Karthi also and asked him to wait for Khaithi 2, to take off. Few more are adding further masala and stating that Kamal even asked Lokesh to consider that subject to be part of LCU. So, that it will be further connecting to Khaithi 2 and Rolex.
Already, Benz starring Raghava Lawrence and Nivin Pauly, shoot is progressing at a rapid pace, which is part of LCU. Lokesh agreed to make his acting debut in Arun Matheswaran's film. Simultaneously, he is being asked to develop this script. Will it be a standalone or if it is going to be a part of LCU? We have to wait and see.
