Suriya50: Mani Ratnam or Karuppu 2 or Rolex?

Suriya is reportedly planning to make his landmark 50th film a major cinematic event, and several interesting filmmaker combinations are doing the rounds. Mani Ratnam, Arun Matheswaran, Lokesh Kanagaraj and RJ Balaji are said to be among the names being considered for the prestigious project. RJ Balaji recently delivered a blockbuster, Karuppu, delivering big blockbuster for Suriya after 13 years. It is stated that Dream Warrior Pictures, the producer of the film has asked Balaji to direct Karuppu 2 as 50th film. On the other, Arun Matheswaran, who delivered blockbuster with DC, is also in talks for it. If not 50th, Suriya will definitely do a film with him. On the other hand, at the Scene Telugu event, he openly stated that if Rolex has to happen, Lokesh needs to meet him. He asked them if they want to see him in a negative role and accepted he will do one. So, if Lokesh is ready, Suriya might wait and make Kaithi 2 his 50th. Suriya, Dhanush and Nani for Mani Ratnam next

A multi-starrer in the direction of legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam has become the latest subject of industry speculation. Suriya is said to have been approached for the project, with Dhanush reportedly being considered as another lead. Now, fresh reports suggest that Nani was also under consideration, particularly after Suriya reportedly showed little interest following the initial discussions. However, there appears to be no immediate clarity on the project as Mani Ratnam is currently focused on his upcoming film Inji Vellam. Tamil media reports suggest that the filmmaker is in no mood to commit to another project until this film releases. The team is reportedly keen on completing and releasing the project before making decisions about his next directorial venture. The expectations surrounding Inji Vellam are significant, especially after the disappointing performance of Thug Life. Mani Ratnam would be looking for a strong box-office comeback with his next outing before taking up another ambitious project. A multi-starrer involving leading actors from different industries would naturally demand considerable planning, scale and commitment. For now, Suriya, Dhanush and Nani's names remain part of the speculation, with no official confirmation about the cast or the project. Much will depend on the response to Inji Vellam and Mani Ratnam's plans after its release. Disclaimer: The news article is written based on information shared by various sources. Amitabh Bachchan to act in Aishwarya's direction?

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is reportedly being considered for an important role in Aishwarya Rajinikanth's upcoming directorial venture, Texla, starring Jai in the lead. If the development materialises, it could mark another collaboration between Bachchan and the Rajinikanth family after their recent association in Vettaiyan. According to reports, Aishwarya has approached Amitabh Bachchan and narrated the story along with the character envisioned for him. The filmmaker is said to have reached out to the veteran actor through her father, Superstar Rajinikanth. Bachchan has reportedly shown interest in the project, but has requested that his portions be filmed entirely in Mumbai, considering his shooting schedule and convenience. The makers are said to be seeking approximately 15 days of his dates. Amitabh Bachchan made his Tamil cinema debut with TJ Gnanavel's Vettaiyan, sharing screen space with Rajinikanth. If he comes on board Texla, it will bring him together with another member of the superstar's family, this time under Aishwarya's direction. Jai is reportedly playing the lead role in Texla, which is being developed under the Kannan Ravi Group banner. While further details about the film's cast, storyline and production schedule are awaited, Amitabh Bachchan's possible inclusion has already made the project an interesting development.
