Thalapathy69 could be a remake of NBK film

Thalapathy Vijay has been one of the most popular stars of Indian Cinema. He is said to be demanding Rs.200 crores for each film as remuneration and his previous two films have crossed Rs.400 crores gross at the box office, too. He has decided to take a plunge into politics full-time and even announced his next, Thalapathy69 has his last film as an actor. 

He might come back into films after 2026 Tamil Nadu elections, depending upon the result, but for now, he is retiring. So, the movie has huge buzz in media, trade circles. H. Vinoth, the director of films like Dheeran Adhigaram Ondru/ Khakhi, Valimai, Nerkonda Parvai, Thunivu is directing this film. While the movie is said to be amped with political ideology of Vijay, there is a buzz that it could be a remake of NBK's recent film, Bhagavanth Kesari. 

Nandamuri Balakrishna, in short NBK, talked about women empowerment and safety in the film, directed by Anil Ravipudi. Thalapathy69 movie makers, KVN Productions, are unveiling cast members one by one. They have already announced Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde to be part of the cast. Mamatha Baiju is also going to play prominent role. As Mamatha Baiju is being cast, the speculations about Mamatha playing Sreeleela's character and Pooja playing Kajal Aggarwal's role. 

Well, many who follow Thalapathy Vijay's career, they know that the actor likes to remake films. So, there is a possiblity of him taking Bhagavanth Kesari subject and adding some politically triggering monologues, situations to it like in Sarkar. Even director H. Vinoth made a remake of Pink in Tamil, Nerkonda Parvai, starring Ajith, which is also being pointed out by the speculators. Let's wait for official confirmation from the makers.
