Vettaiyan trailer did not really satisfy Rajinikanth fans

on Oct 3, 2024

Superstar Rajinikanth is one the biggest matinee idols of Indian Cinema. Each and every film of his releases with huge anticipation and sky high expectations. For every filmmaker it is a grave challenge to satisfy his oceans of fans while making something entirely original. Majorly, there is a separate genre for his films, a "Rajinikanth film".

From Petta, for every film of his, filmmakers have been inviting audiences to get "Rajinified" by walking into theatres. Now, the actor is coming up with Vettaiyan in the direction of T.J. Gnanavel, the director of Jai Bhim. The producers Lyca Productions have invested huge amount in the film by pulling off an ensemble cast which includes actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Ritika Singh, Dhansika, Maju Warrier.

Post Jailer success, the makers seem to have decided to go with a huge ensemble cast for this one, so that they can create another unique experience for audiences. Anirudh Ravichander's songs like Manasilayo, Hunter Vantaar have become highly popular. But the teaser and trailer lacked the usual high, a Rajinikanth film produces opined his hardcore fans.

They are disappointed with rather slow paced trailer with not many "Rajini moments". In every film's trailer of Rajinikanth films, makers give a high with his dialogues or some of his antics. T.J. Gnanavel seems to have gone with more story oriented approach for the trailer. For fans though, this did not really give a wholesome high but they are excited to see their idol with such a talented cast giving his best.
