Thangalaan OTT release could be in legal trouble

Thangalaan, the period movie starring Chiyaan Vikram and Parvathy, released on 15th August worldwide. The movie directed by Pa. Ranjith earned critical appreciation and box office success too. Now, the fans of Vikram are eager for OTT release of the film.

Movie song Miniki Miniki has become highly popular and those who did not watch the film in theatres have also been waiting for OTT release. But the movie OTT release could be in trouble. A person named Porkodi has moved to Madras court asking for stay on OTT release of the movie and ban it as well.

He stated in the petition that makers showcased Bhuddhism has best religious practice while criticising Brahmins and Hinduism. Also, there reports stating that Netflix has thought about canceling their deal with producers and also need a new OTT cut deleting several controversial scenes.

Chiyaan Vikram received huge praises for his performance in the film and many are waiting to watch it. But these reports are suggesting Pa. Ranjith's controversial ideology could be an hassle for producer KE Gnanavelraja is releasing movie on OTT.
