Thalapathy Vijay has announced his political debut, declaring that his 69th film will be his final project for the time being. The official announcement for this film was made yesterday, with H Vinoth set to direct.

The shoot for this untitled film will begin soon, and it will be produced by KVN Productions. Scheduled for release in October 2025, the film is expected to be a social drama infused with action. Vijay aims to complete filming before summer so he can concentrate on Tamil politics.

Superstar Rajinikanth is also preparing to start work on his next film, Jailer 2. Directed by Nelson, the script for this project has already been completed. Nelson and his team are currently waiting for Rajinikanth's availability to begin shooting. Jailer 2 is anticipated to release in October, coinciding with the Dasara holiday season.
