Akshay Kumar surprises with Kesari Chapter 2

Akshay Kumar saw a huge success streak with his films being hits continuously at the box office. The success streak brought a sort of complacency into him and post pandemic he is going through a disaster phase like no one. His films stopped attracting audiences to theatres but Kesari Chapter 2 surprises.
The movie trailer released on 3rd April and it doesn't look like a hyper melodramatic take on an incident from history like his previous incompetent films. Akshay Kumar also looks very focused and apt to play the role of Sankaran Nair, who sued the British Crown to bring Jallianwala Bagh truth out in open.
R Madhavan is playing the antagonist who supports the crown in the court. His character does look eccentric but his performance against Akshay is commendable. Both of them look to be carrying the film on their shoulders. Ananya Panday looks her character as a lady lawyer but then the incident and the case take more focus.
Karan Singh Tyagi is directing the film while it does look like a dramatized version of history, it still promises a better outing for Akshay from his previous films and the trailer is well edited to raise our expectations. The movie is releasing on 18th April and let's see if it ends Akshay's disaster streak.
