Cool And Creative Nail Designs Looking for a beautiful and gorgeous way to add flair to your look? Nail art can complement your outfit for a special event or add a unique touch to your personality every day. While very detailed nail art is best left to professionals, there are a number of designs you can create yourself.Try duotones, glitter and jewels, polka dots, blended colors, marbling or stamping to create a gorgeous effect. Water-Marbled Designs: 1)Remove old nail polish: Make sure you're starting with a clean slate by removing any old polish that's still lingering on your nails. 2)Gather your supplies: Water marbling is a creative technique that uses water and a variety of colors for a unique look. Get the following materials ready: A base coat and two or three colors that blend well together, like light blue, yellow and white. A shallow, wide-mouthed cup or bowl filled almost to the brim with room-temperature water. Petroleum jelly. 3)Apply the base coat color: Allow it to dry completely. 4)Add color to the water: Drop some polish into the water from a low height. Notice how it creates a circle of color within the water. 5)Drop an alternate color into the center of the first color: Continue adding drops in the same way, at the center of the circle of color, alternating the colors until you see a bulls-eye shape. 6)Use a toothpick to alter the design. Insert it in the water and drag it through the bulls-eye of color to create patterns. Spiderweb designs are popular, as are flower designs and geometric shapes. Don't go too far with the toothpick, since if you blend the colors too much they won't be distinct from one another. If you create something with the toothpick and you don't like it, simply discard your first attempt and start over from the beginning. 7)Apply the design to your nails: Spread petroleum jelly on the skin around your nails and up your fingers. Carefully place your nails against the design that you created and then submerge them slightly. Remove water from the nails. Blow off any water droplets and use a cotton swab or cotton ball (coated with acetone if necessary) to clean up the edges and remove polish from your fingers.

Fashion Tips For Looking Younger Below-the-knee skirts, bow blouses, and pearls may be forever coming back into vogue, but that doesn’t mean you should put them all together. “When you wear pieces exactly like they were worn the first time around, it’s as if you’ve been stuck in a look.” The more youthful approach: “The classics can be refreshed when you style them differently” . Pair that secretary blouse with jeans, tuck a long-sleeve tee into a calf-length skirt and add a cashmere scarf, or layer pearls with a mix of chains in different lengths. Stock up on a kaleidoscope of thick and skinny belts to liven up the outfits in your closet. Trousers or dark jeans work well with a thin belt in a contrasting color. Wide belts are great for cinching dresses, jackets, and cardigans; if they’re dark-colored, they can even make your waist look smaller. If you can invest in only one, opt for a slim belt in a shimmery metallic, brown leather, or an animal print, so it goes with everything. “The coolest scarves are made of an ethereal, lightweight knit, are long enough to be wrapped around several times, and come in unexpected colors and prints”. Florals and geometrics tend to look most current, but “paisley, equestrian, and sailor themes can add years”. However, you don’t have to ditch all your silk squares. What’s most important is how you wear them. You can roll the scarf up and use it as a headband or tie it to the handle of a purse. Or try it “backwards,” in place of a necklace: Fold a large square scarf into a triangle. Tie the ends around the back of your neck with the “tail” positioned in the front leaving several inches of drop space around your neckline for the fabric to drape.

SUNBURST CLOCK I have a small size wall clock at home. I bought it few years ago but now it looks kinda small in size and not matching my huge dark furniture. I am giving it a makeover instead of throwing it away, to add my touch. I used: Scrap paper/ useless newspapers A long pencil/ long circular edge staff to roll Glue Cardboard- wider than the clock Pair of Scissors Acrylic colors I made it this way: Make enough number of paper rolls as shown in the picture. Cut the card board atleast 4 inches wider in diameter than the item you want to use, i used a clock here. Make a hole enough in the center of the cardboard to fit the clock, so that its easy to hang the clock as usual. Start sticking the paper rolls around the clock on the board without leaving any gaps. Let them dry, paint the clock and the rolls in the color of your choice. You can also use little mirrors/ glitter to decorate more. I am still making it, and i would finish soon but my end product should look like the one in the picture below.....   - Prathyusha Talluri More articles from this author..... QUICK HAIR STYLES We dont have time for the hair, most of the times. Our valuable minutes are wasted standing infront of the wardrobe deciding what to wear. Here are a few hair styles that will take only 5 minutes of urs, even if you are in the car, provided you have all the necessary items ready. CRISSCROSS FREE BRAID Works on: · Medium or long hair Step 1 Part hair where you usually do. Side or middle will work. Step 2 Grab a section on each side of the part. (Section should be about as wide as two fingers.) Step 3 Loosely braid both sections toward the back of your head where they will meet. Apply a dab of texturizing cream or pomade to the bottom of each braid so it doesn't unravel easily. Step 4 Use a clear elastic to secure both braids together in back. Step 5 Carefully slide the bobby pins in under the braid, along your scalp. This will keep the loose braids from falling out. ANYSIDE BUN Works on: · Medium or long hair Stuff to have handy: · A hair stick, or bracket thingy like the one pictured · Shine serum or spray · Comb · Hair elastic Step 1 Make a deep side part with a comb. Apply a bit of shine serum all over and comb through to tame flyaways. Step 2 Gather your hair into a low side pony behind the ear opposite your part. Secure with a hair elastic. Step 3 Wrap the tail up toward your ear, then under the pony (into a bun), leaving the ends free. Step 4 Pierce the bun with your hair stick, making sure to thread one end of the stick through the elastic before letting it pop out the other side. This holds the bun in place. EASY FIX Works on: · Medium or long hair · Dirty-ish hair -- a day after shampooing Stuff to have handy: · 1-inch curling iron · Bobby pins · Hairspray   How To: Step 1 Make a side part. Starting with the bigger side, gather front section from the ear to your part and smooth it so the hairline is bump-free. Then twist several times upward toward your part. (See inset photo) Step 2 Secure the hair along the line of the twist with several bobby pins. At the end of the twist, criss-cross bobby pins to anchor the twist in place. Repeat on the smaller side. Step 3 Divide the hanging hair in back into 1-inch sections and wrap around a curling iron. Hold the barrel vertically to create a spiral. Step 4 Once all sections are curled, mist with hairspray and shake your hair gently to loosen the curls.   - Prathyusha Talluri   More articles from this author..... WINTER TRENDS WEDDING SEASON AGAIN

WEDDING SEASON AGAIN People are getting ready to wed, attend weddings, celebrations....here are few tips if you are thinking to follow the contemporary trends for this Wedding season. Famous this season are the combinations of lacy low-weight materials paired up with shiny, lustrous lining. Rich woven silky fabrics embellished with jewel toned opaque stones add to the festivity of the season. Knits dressed up with metallic sequins and beads are doing the rounds. Feather and leather detailing is another hot favourite this Autumn-Winter. The silhouettes this season are sleek and structured – floor length kurtis/ gowns with variable hemlines and beautifully designed blouses. The colours of the season are gold, purple fuchsia, emerald green, peacock, sapphire, crimson, pink carnation, dried rose, nude and silver grey. Men have to let go of the blacks and greys for jewelled tones of sapphire, emerald, garnet, ruby and turquoise. Suits, shirts, trousers, bow ties or pocket squares in checks whether in classic or graphic prints are hot this season. The don’ts: A big no-no this season is volume – whether it is salwars, ghagras, dresses, gowns, trousers or even sleeves anything voluminous is out for both men and women. The sleek, slim look is in, and thats what the lacy, silky fabrics are for.   - Prathyusha Talluri More articles from this author..... WINTER TRENDS
