Do you have smelly pierced ear holes?
Smelly Ear Holes: A common problem which we ladies have is that strange stink coming from your pierced ear holes. And when you wear other metallic earrings it could also lead to a dry skin layer formed near the lobes. For those who are allergic to metals other than gold and silver, this could lead to bleeding and when the dry skin layer or scab is cleaned the bleeding starts again.
The smell attributed to behind the ear-hole lobes has many reasons:
First being the accumulation of dead skin cells, soap, lotion, hair products, natural body oils over a course of time
Prolonged wearing of the same earring for many days and that too if it’s the screw type earrings.
When you wear inferior quality metallic earrings, the metal tends to irritate the skin and cause the smell and for some people lead to bleeding as mentioned above.
OK so now we have figured out the reason behind the stink so how do we prevent the annoying smell?Check out these tips to help you keep your ear hole clean and fresh:
• Like many of you have been doing -periodically cleaning the pierced ear holes with warm water and moist cotton.
• Frequently changing your earrings and avoid tightening the screw behind till the last thread.
• Avoid wearing cheap quality earrings for too long no matter how stylish you want to look.
• Cleaning your pierced holes with an alcohol based solution, like a perfume, after shave or Listerine which is also said to clean the gunk faster.
• Also clean the gold earrings with the solution and then store them so that you don’t put the earrings away and wear the same smelly things.
• Take a neem twig and make it thin enough to fit into your pierced holes and run it through to clean anything in the hole. You could also use a tooth pick instead, if you can’t get your hands on a neem twig.
• Occasionally leave the ears earring -free and give them some Oxygen to breathe.
