12th ATA Convention Fund Raising Chicago

American Telugu Association (ATA) celebrated the Chicago ATA day on March 3rd, 2012 at the Masala Restaurant in Naperville, Illinois. The event was organized to recognize all the donors who generously came forward to support the cause of the 12th ATA convention scheduled to be held in Atlanta from July 6-8th, 2012. The event was attended by about 300 people. The evening started with ATA President-elect Karunakar Madhavaram extending a warm welcome to the gathering. A sumptuous dinner with a wide variety of dishes was hosted in the honor of the donors.



Throughout the evening, local singer and DJ Ravi Thokala together with Sri Prathivadi entertained the audience with a mix of melodious music from old & new movies. Later in the evening the kids sang chorus with a blend of western & Bollywood music. Instant movie pop quizzes were conducted for the kids and winners were presented with small gifts. Kids of all age groups enjoyed upbeat songs and danced late into the night. Overall it was a fun filled evening for both adults & kids.



During this event ATA team has raised about $100,000 in donations from Chicago area. The entire ATA team thanked its donors and supporters who came forward enthusiastically to support the 12th annual ATA convention. The event was organized by ATA Chicago team that includes ATA President-elect Karunakar Madhavaram, Regional coordinator Prathap R Chintalapani, Treasurer Satya Kandimalla, ATA trustee Narendar Chemarla, Committee Chairs KSN Reddy, Chalma Reddy, Amar Nettem, ATA founding members Hanmanth Reddy and GLN Reddy. TAGC President Kalyan Anandula and TAGC President-elect Ramesh Garapaty also contributed to this very successful event. The event ended with vote of thanks to everyone who made the occasion a very grand success.
