Reduce Dark Circles Naturally

Are you always bothered about your dark under eye circles, and don’t know what to do? Dark circles are not only caused by lack of sleep, they are also due to thinning of the skin, allergies and heredity. Here are few natural tips which you can follow to reduce and permanently remove the dark circles.

* Sleep: A moderate sleep of 6 hours to 8 hours every day is not only good for your health, but sound sleep is essential to keep the dark circles at bay too.

* Water: Drink plenty of water as it keeps your body hydrated and your skin supple lending you the translucent watery look most desired by women and most experimented by makeup artists throughout the world. Water also provides oxygen to our body. Try to consume two liters of water every day, or approximately 8 to 10 glasses.

* Computer Usage: If you work on the computer for 8 to 10 hours on daily basis, then it leads to the contribution of dark circles on your face. This doesn’t mean you quit working and never look at the screen. The muscles of the eyes get tired due the reflection of the light of the computer. While working continuously we get so engrossed in work that we forgot to blink our eyes. Remember to blink your eyes at regular intervals as blinking keeps the eyes moist. Also work at a distance of minimum 25cm away from the computer screen.

* Meditation: Meditate as much as you can. Meditation regulates the nervous system and controls and relaxes the muscles related with the eyes.

* Rose Water: Rose water is the best relaxing agent for your eyes. You can put few drops of rose water in your eyelids, keep them closed for 15- 20 minutes. This can be done once a week. However, check the allergic reactions to rose water before use. Do not use on your eyes, if you are not sure that composition of rose water is right for you. You can also soak two cotton balls in rose water and place them on your eyes while they are close. This can be done on alternate days or every day.

* Potato: Make thin slices of potato and place them on your eyelids. This is very effective in reducing dark circles. You can also grate potato and place them on your eyelid and rest for ten minutes.

* Cucumber: Slice the cucumber and place them on your eyes.
