Congress party claims that recent by-elections have reflected the negative mood of the people of the country, who are disappointed with 100 days ruling of Modi government. Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh said ‘people voted against communal politics.’ Several others also have their own definitions for the poor show by BJP and its allies in the by-elections. Their arguments may appear genuine if seen overall performance, but if seen the same on state wise, entirely different factors will appear before eyes.

For example, in Bihar Congress, RJD and JDU have joined hands in the by-elections and formed a strong alliance that keeps BJP at bay. Actually, people are well aware about the enmity between two former CMs of the state Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar. As long as they are stayed separate, Congress and BJP used to handle them both with great ease, but not when they join hands. Need not to say what happen if Congress also joins their team.

In Bellary, BJP loses the seat to Congress party, probably because Congress party is in power there. Moreover, the re-admission of tainted Yedyurappa may also had its effect on the party. Medak Loksabha seta may fall into ruling TRS party lap because KCR’s positive performance. There may be different factors in other states that left BJP behind in this by-elections race. So, one can’t attribute the poor performance in the by-elections to Modi government or his 100 days’ performance.
