Tips for online shopping   Women love shopping, don't we all? Like Nitya says in Alaa Modalaindi, there's a psychology behind women's shopping. And with the less amount of time in hand and more choices available online, a lot of women are moving over to online shopping rather than going through the rigmarole of offline shopping. A click of the mouse is all you need these days to purchase anything - from a safety pin to a bridal lehenga. But before you click that one button, be a bit smart and follow these tips to avoid rip-offs online.   Right size and fit: When you're buying clothes, make sure you measure yourself carefully so you choose the right size. However, it's not just the size that matters, it's the fit as well. Websites like Jabong and Myntra offer a size guide for clothes and footwear. Always check their guidelines and select a size accordingly. Before making your first online purchase, try out a couple of outfits in a mall or a boutique and see which size and cut fits you properly. It's better to go for a size bigger when you're unsure. Colors: Please know that there will be a slight variation in color and feel of the fabrics as light plays a vital role in photographs. The clothes usually look brighter and more colorful on the web page than they do when you see them in a shop. Keep this in mind when choosing your color.   Choices: There is a wide range of choice available online. Take your time to go through different websites, and make yourself familiar with online brands before you make your purchases. Online shopping is the best when you're looking for mix-n-match kurtas, leggings/salwar, and chunnis.   Make-up: The color variation is more noticeable when you buy make-up stuff online especially for lipsticks. Since you cannot really try any of the lipsticks or nail polishes, you just have to go by your hunch. If you've already used similar shades, then it'll be easier to make a choice. The easiest to choose are Hair colors, moisturizers, lip balms, hair oils, shampoos, etc. The toughest are body sprays, perfumes, lipsticks and nail enamels.   Footwear: When you're buying the footwear, please follow the instructions on the size guide by measuring both the feet separately. Always go for the size of the bigger foot. If you're unsure of your size, buy a size bigger if it's footwear. With shoes, you have to be more sure of your foot size both with and without the socks on. If you're used to wearing socks, buy ankle length woollen socks.   Return Policy: Familiarize yourself with the website's return policy. Feel free to return the products if you're not happy with them for any reason. Almost all the websites have a Return Policy in place so that customers can return the stuff with size issues, color issues or if it reaches in a damaged/semi-damaged condition.

This fashion trend has hit the ramp and fashion circuit once again and this time with added bling and glam.   You could even carry off this trend with your formal wear with just an added bracelet and bangle along with a huge watch to match your outfit. So it’s not just your college going girl who can pull off this look but the corporate diva can do it too!   Asymmetry is the Key. You need to wear different number of bracelets/ bangles on each wrist and leave one wrist with a single or double bracelets/bangle. You need to work with the shapes of the bracelets when deciding which to wear together.   You can’t mix thin rubber bangles with the metal ones as they mix match both when it comes to design and texture. You can wear as many when it comes to small and thin bracelets, the more the merrier, mix metals with fabric , leather with metal, chunky sized ones with thin bracelets, beaded bracelets with thin bangles, the choice is endless.   Our desi bangles are amazing when it comes to variety, design, texture and models. You could simple wear a mix match of coloured glass bangles with metal bangles when you are in your long skirts or kurtis and throw in a designer jhola bag for that traditional Indian look.

Fashionable Full Sleeve Saree Blouse The fashion of full-sleeve ornate blouses is back on the runway with the designers opting for the chic but traditional look by teaming them with sarees, long skirts and lehengas. These blouses which were once a part of the vintage fashion have made their comeback either in the high neck , backless or fully embroidered style where the sleeves are till the wrists The  blouses  are mostly designed in velvet, net, silk  and chiffon material and can be heavily embellished and encrusted with zardozi, crystals and beads. You could also have the thread style with long tasslels to give it that regal look. Young girls could have this style fo the lehengas and langa vonis and look pretty … You could also adapt the  Mughal techniques and have the  zardozi, parsi and bullion thread works on the blouses and also depending on the pattern of the saree the blouse can be stitched. But when you are wearing the long sleeved blouse with patterns on the blouse it would be best if you could stick to minimal jewelry, because if the entire saree ensemble has a lot of work on it and you wear heavy jewelry you could end up looking like a Christmas tree! Tips to put together a chiffon saree with border Chiffon Saree with Border:Maharani Gayatri Devi was known to be the inspiration behind the classic chiffon sarees with the pearls look and this has been followed by the Royalty ever since. In those days the Royalty would get their exquisite chiffons from Lyon France and Europe, but fortunately now we can get beautiful floral and plain chiffons from our own desi Garden Vareli showrooms, though not of the same quality as the royalty had.   Sabyasaachi had also given Sridevi the floral print chiffon saree in the movie English Vinglish as part of her Saree collection in the movie. Tips to put a chiffon saree with border 1.Depending on your height choose a chiffon saree with a floral print. For those with short stature choose small prints. The tall ones can carry off the bold floral prints. 2.There should be no embellishments like embroidery or sequins on the saree. 3.The colour of the brocade border should ideally be lighter than the body of the sari, dominant in silver or gold with a pattern reflecting subtly the colour of the sari. 4.When working with printed chiffon saris, choose a finer allover print rather than a bold, loud design so that the pattern does not compete with the border for attention. 5.You could also add a plain border in  a slight contrast to the saree colour, but it shoudld'nt stand out. 6. Dont fold multiple pleats and wear chiffons ,as a single pleat elevates the saree look. 7. A princess-cut high blouse would be the best to wear when you go for the single pleat- NO plunging necklines either in the front or back please! 8.Jewelry should be minnimal and the saree looks best when worn in the day time. You can check out Taapsee in a floral chiffon saree which she wore for the  ramp walk at an event for the Surat Dreams Fashion Show. Dressed in a brown saree with big flowers and small bright yellow border, her hair was done up in high coiffure with minimal jewelry. But we would have been happy if she wore the necklace on her neck rather than in the hair. The 70’s retro flower power look is  pretty don’t you think?

Swaroski Shoes OMG   Swaroski studded sneaker: What will they think of next? These crystal studded shoes were created for Pharrell Williams, an American singer-songwriter, rapper, musician, and fashion designer. A pair of popular Adidas Stan Smiths were studded with the precious crystals, almost 1600 of them in 15 different shapes and sizes to give it the encrusted look. The whole effort took around 10 hours to embellish the shoes and they were first shown to the public earlier this year. Apparently Pharrell Williams had personally handpicked the size, shape and color of the crystals he was looking for and worked with the Swaroski creative team to bring his idea to shape, which was inspired by a pair of platform crystal shoes from Swaroski. But sadly the shoes aren't available for sale and custom made exclusively for him. We couldn’t estimate the price of the shoes either ,but if you wanted a custom made crystal shoe like this how would you want it to be?
