Negligence of private bus owners and corrupt officials had killed 30 innocents. Lack of proper information with travel agents had delayed the handing over of dead bodies. Still, 'Travels Mafia' feels that 'media' is over writing the issue. Rather feeling bad about the loss of 30 innocent lives due to their negligence, the Travel-Mafia has attacked media today. In the name of press-meet, some travel agencies and their persons tried to man handle reporters. They are feeling that RTA is raiding their offices and buses due to the excessive broadcasting of incidents by news channels.
But it is only because of media, the Shirdi Bus incident became a highlight forcing police, rescue teams and government to take necessary actions in stipulated time. If there is no pressure from media in that incident, victims' families might have not collected the dead bodies at the earliest. There is no point in attacking the honesty of media who have opened the eyes of government to take necessary and required actions for controlling these killings.
Looks like, travel buses owners care about their costly Volvo buses but not the priceless 'life' of persons travelling in them. Media will surely teach them a lesson if they don't open their eyes at least now!
