Maverick Filmmaker SS Rajamouli is gearing up for superstar Mahesh Babu's film tentatively titled SSMB 29. Mahesh Babu is currently busy bringing out best version of himself. The pre production work has been going on for almost 9 months. The makers had plans to start the shoot by May end. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the film shoot pushed to September.
SS Rajamouli completed script work and pre production work and also finalizing the locations and actors. Mahesh Babu began his workshop for the various sequences of the film.
The story will be locked this week and the look test will start soon. The film is a jungle adventure and it happens in the forests of Africa. SS Rajamouli will direct Mahesh Babu in a globe-trotting forest action-adventure, with the star playing an adventurer.
Now, SS Rajamouli locked Prithviraj Sukumaran in key antagonist role. The actor previously impressed Telugu audience with Salaar and The Goat Life. This news has created sensation on social media. This combination is almost confirmed.
American-Indonesian actress Chelsea Islan is reportedly playing the female lead. PS Vinod of Panja and Sita Ramam fame handling cinematography. Tammiraju will be handling the editing works. Mohan Nath Bingi of Aakashavaani and Adipurush fame will be taking care of production design. Kamal Kannan RC who collaborated with Jakkanna for Eega and Baahubali 2 VFX will be acting as VFX supervisor.
KL Narayana of Kshana Kshanam and Hello Brother fame will be producing this huge project on a grand scale with mammoth budget. The film might release in May 2026.
