  చీర కట్టుకుంటే మహిళల అందం పెరుగుతుందని చెప్పలేం కానీ... మన తెలుగింటి ఆడపడచులు మాత్రం చీర కట్టుకుంటే ఆ చీరకే అందం వస్తుందన్నది మాత్రం అతిశయోక్తి కాదు. ఎలాంటి చీరనైనా అందంగా మలచగల సృజన, కళాత్మకత మనవారి సొంతం. ఒక చిన్న అల్లిక, మరో చిన్న అతుకు, ఒక పూస లాంటివి చేర్చినా ఆ చీర డిజైనర్ చీరలకు ఏమాత్రం తీసిపోదు. అనేక రకాలుగా డిజైన్ చేసిన వీటిని ధరించే స్త్రీలు ఎక్కడికెళ్లినా సెంటర్ ఆఫ్ ది అట్రాక్షన్ అవుతారనడంలో సందేహం లేదు.   లేటెస్ట్ ఎంబ్రాయిడరీ, దానికి మరింతగా అందాన్నిచ్చే కుందన్స్, స్టోన్స్, వీటన్నింటినీ డామినేట్ చేసే పల్లూ, స్వచ్ఛమైన జరీతో మెరిసిపోయే చీరలు ప్రస్తుతం అమితంగా మహిళలను ఆకట్టుకుంటున్నాయి. ఆకర్షణీయమైన రంగుల్లో, అపురూపమైన డిజైన్లతో ఉన్న ఈ చీరలు మహిళలను అల్లుకుపోయి మరింత అందంగా కనిపిస్తున్నాయి.     డిజైనర్ చీరలంటే ఇష్టపడని వారు ఎవరూ ఉండరు. ముఖ్యంగా ఈనాటి అమ్మాయిలు వీటిపై ఎక్కువగా ఇంట్రెస్ట్ చూపిస్తున్నారు. ఎప్పుడైనా ఫంక్షన్లకు, వివాహ కార్యక్రమాలకు పట్టుచీరలకంటే ఇప్పుడు వీటినే ఎక్కువగా ఇష్టపడుతున్నారు. అయితే డిజైనర్ చీరలంటే ధరలు మాత్రం మాములుగా ఉండవు. వెయ్యి రూపాయల నుండి మొదలుకొని దాదాపు లక్ష రూపాయల పై వరకు కూడా మార్కెట్లో లభిస్తున్నాయి.   అయితే చిన్నపాటి జాగ్రత్తలు, కాస్తంత సృజన జోడిస్తే... మీ దగ్గరుండే సాదా చీరలనే అందంగా తయారు చేసుకుని డిజైనర్ శారీలను తలదన్నేలా తీర్చిదిద్దవచ్చు. మరి మీకు అలాంటి శ్రమ ఎందుకులే అనుకుంటే.. మార్కెట్లో అదిరిపోయే డిజైన్ లలో డిజైనర్ శారీలు లభిస్తున్నాయి. వెళ్లి ఓసారి షాపింగ్ చేసేయండి మరి.

వయసుతో ఎటువంటి సంబంధం లేకుండా చిన్న పిల్లల నుండి పెద్దవాళ్ళ వరకు ఆడవాళ్లందరూ ఇష్టపడేవి కాలి పట్టీలు. గొలుసులు, గాజులతోపాటు ఆడవాళ్ళు రోజూ ధరించే ఆభరణంగా స్థిరపడిపోయాయి కాలి పట్టీలు. కాస్త అడుగులేసే వయసు రాగానే కూతురుకు ముందుగా మువ్వల పట్టీలు చేయించి పెడతారు అమ్మా నాన్నలు. వారి బుజ్జి బుజ్జి అడుగులకు ఆ మువ్వల గలగలలు తోడై ఇల్లంతా తిరుగుతుంటే మురిసిపోతారు.     ఈనాటి అమ్మాయిలకు సంప్రదాయ దుస్తులు ధరించడమే బద్ధకంగా భావిస్తున్నారు. కానీ, కాలి పట్టీలు కూడా కాలానుగుణంగా తమ రూపురేఖలు మార్చుకుని ఆధునికతను సంతరించుకున్నాయని వారు తెలుసుకోవడం లేదు. పట్టు లంగా, వోణీ వేసుకున్నా, జీన్స్, టీషర్ట్ వేసుకున్నా వారి వస్త్రాధరణకు తగినట్టుగా ఎన్నో పట్టీలు మార్కెట్‌లో లభిస్తున్నాయి. అంతేకాదు, తమ అభిరుచికి తగ్గట్టుగా వాటిని మార్చుకుని, మాచింగ్‌గా కూడా చేసుకోవచ్చు.     సాధారణంగా కాలి పట్టీలు వెండి లేదా బంగారంతో తయారుచేస్తారు. కాని ఈరోజు మార్కెట్లో ఎన్నో రకాల కాలి పట్టీలు అందుబాటులో ఉన్నాయి. చెక్క పూసలు, బ్లాక్‌మెటల్, రంగు రంగుల పూసలు, రాళ్లు, ముత్యాలు, మువ్వలు, గొలుసులు.. చివరకు ప్లాస్టిక్ గొట్టాలు, లెదర్‌తో చేసిన పట్టీలు కూడా దొరుకుతున్నాయంటే నమ్ముతారా? ఇవి జీన్స్, స్కర్ట్స్, మినీస్, కాప్రీలు మొదలైన డ్రెస్సులకు అనువుగా మాచింగ్‌గా ఉంటాయి. అందుకే కాలేజీ అమ్మాయిలు ఇటువంటి అధునాతనమైన పట్టీలు పెట్టుకోవడానికి ఆసక్తి చూపిస్తున్నారు.     అలాగని ఎప్పటికీ అవే వేసుకోవాలంటే కూడా ఇష్టపడరు. పెళ్లిళ్ళు, పార్టీల కోసం వారు ధరించే పట్టు, హెవీవర్క్ చీరలు, డ్రెస్సులకు ధీటుగా బంగారు నగలకు ఏ మాత్రం తీసిపోని పనితనంతో రంగు రంగుల రాళ్లు, ముత్యాలు, పూసలు, క్రిస్టల్స్ పెట్టి తయారుచేసిన కాలి పట్టీలు కూడా దొరుకుతున్నాయి. వెండి, బంగారంతో చేసినవి ఒకటో, రెండో కాలి పట్టీలు కొనుక్కునే బదులు ఇలాంటివి డ్రెస్సులకు మాచింగ్ ఉండేట్టు ఎన్నైనా కొనుక్కోవచ్చు.     అంతేకాదు అమ్మాయిలు తమ కొత్త డ్రెస్సులకు, అందులోని రంగులకు మాచింగ్‌గా కూడా పట్టీలు చాలా సులువుగా తయారుచేసుకోవచ్చు. ఇవన్నీ ఎక్కువ ఖరీదు కూడా ఉండవు. అందువలన ఈ పట్టీలు విరివిగా అమ్ముడవుతున్నాయి. పండగ, పెళ్లి, పార్టీ, పుట్టిన రోజు వచ్చినా, డ్రెస్సుతోపాటు కొనుక్కునే మాచింగ్ గాజులు, నగలలో కాలిపట్టీలు కూడా చేరిపోయాయి. ఎంతైన ఆ మువ్వల సవ్వడి వింటే అబ్బాయిలు కూడా ఫ్లాట్ అయిపోవాల్సిందే మరి.

  కాటన్ చీరలంటే చాలా మంది మహిళలకు ఎక్కవ ఇష్టం. ముఖ్యంగా మన భారతీయులు చాలా మంది కాటన్ చీరలను, కాటన్ దుస్తులను ధరించడానికి ఆసక్తి చూసిస్తున్నారు. వేసవిలో శరీరానికి చల్లదనాన్ని ఇస్తూ వంటికి హాయిని కలిగించేవి కాటన్‌ దుస్తులు. ఎండవల్ల కలిగే ఉక్కపోతని, చెమటవల్ల వచ్చే చికాకుని తప్పించుకోవటానికి కాటన్‌ దుస్తులని ధరించడం ఎక్కువ. కాటన్ చీరను ఎల్లప్పుడూ స్టిఫ్ గా, కొత్తవాటిలా మెరిపించాలంటే కొన్ని జాగ్రత్తలు పాటించాలి. మరి అవేమిటో ఓసారి చూద్దామా...! బకెట్ గోరువెచ్చని నీటిలో రాళ్ల ఉప్పు కొద్దిగా వేసి ఒకేసారి మూడు కాటన్ చీరలను నానబెట్టాలి. ఎక్కువ సేపు నానబెట్టకుండా పది, పదిహేను నిమిషాలకే ఉతికేయాలి. దాంతో కాటన్ చీరలకున్న అందం, రంగు పోవు. మొదటి సారి ఇలా చేయడం వల్ల తర్వాత తర్వాత ఉతుకులకు ఎటువంటి హానీ జరగకుండా కాటన్ చీరను కాపాడుకోవచ్చు. సోప్ నట్స్ మార్కెట్లో దొరుకుతాయి. వాటిని ఉపయోగించడం వల్ల కూడా కాటన్ చీరలు ఎప్పటికీ ఫ్రెష్ గా ఉంటాయి. సోప్ నట్స్ నీళ్లలో వేసి అందులో చీరలను నానబెట్టి కొద్దిసేపటి తర్వాత శుభ్రం చేసేసుకోవాలి. మార్కెట్లో లభించే లిక్విడ్ స్టార్చ్ లో కాటన్ చీరలను నానబెట్టుట వల్ల అవి ముడతలు లేకుండా స్టిఫ్ గా ఉంటాయి. చీరలను ఉతికి శుభ్రపరిచిన తర్వాత స్టార్చ్(గంజి) పెట్టి ఎండలో కొద్దిసేపు మాత్రమే ఆరబెట్టి, ఆరిన తర్వాత వెంటనే తీసేయాలి. ఇక కాటన్ బట్టలు స్టిఫ్ గా ఉండాలంటే ఐరనింగ్ ముఖ్యం. ఐరన్ చేసే ముందు కాటన్ దుస్తులపై గల లేబుల్ ఒకసారి పరిశీలించండి. సాధారణంగా కాటన్ గుడ్డను ఐరన్ చేయవచ్చు. కాని చేసేముందు ఒకసారి చూడటం మంచిది. కాటన్ చీరలను కానీ కాటన్ ఏ ఇతర బట్టలు కానీ ఐరన్ చేసే ముందు ఆ వస్త్రంపై కొన్ని నీళ్ళు చిలకరిస్తే కాటన్ వస్త్రాలు త్వరగా ముడుతలు లేకుండా ఐరన్ చేయవచ్చు. స్టీమ్ ఐరన్ కనుక మీరు ఉపయోగిస్తున్నట్లయితే, గుడ్డ ఆటోమేటిక్ గా తేమను పీల్చుకుంటుంది. వేరుగా నీరు గుడ్డపై చిలకరించనవసరంలేదు. గుడ్డలకు గంజి పెట్టినట్లయితే కాటన్ గుడ్డలు దళసరిగా వుంటాయి. వాష్ చేసిన తర్వాత, ఐరన్ చేసే ముందు కొద్దిపాటి గంజిని గుడ్డలకు పట్టించటం మంచిది.
