Shrugs for you Shrug is a small vest like garment with short or long sleeves which cover upper portion of the lady’s body. It is usually worn on the top of a dress either with a shirt or top. But they are only below the bust line and don’t cover the entire body and are less than a vest and more like a shawl with sleeved. Now apart from the technical explanation of what a shrug is, we can see that it comes in like a handy small garment which can cover you and at the same time make you look trendy. If you are wearing a sleeveless top or shirt and you are feeling a tad bit uncomfortable in a public gathering, you can just throw it over your shirt or top and look pretty. Knitted shrugs are extremely popular, and they are relatively easy to make, making them excellent projects for knitters who are trying to build on basic skills. You can get different shrugs made from crochet ,velvet, brocade, cotton, linen, or silk. Lightweight textiles may be used to create one that is suitable for keeping off a summer chill, while heavier fabrics are intended for cooler evenings or night time formal events. They can also be beaded or embroidered to suit your style quotient. They come in different types where you can tie them in front, the collared ones with big buttons and the simple vest like ones where it hugs your body with no buttons .The designs and textures are innumerable and to choose the right ones for your wardrobe and purpose is the key.
Go regal with Anarkali The latest trend in the churdidars which are the Anarkali Suits have become a big rage among ladies across the world. Always been a timeless piece of fashion wear since the Mughals, these Anarkali Suits which have once again been revived by the designers make for great party wear. Sometimes they also make the best alternate to a sari during these wedding times when you actually don’t feel like dressing up and just wear a bright Anarkali. They come in different materials like georgette, cotton, chiffons and maheshwaris and with unique designs and embroidery works. The more simple ones are worn during formal occasions but it would best avoided to wear to work as they are too flow-ey and tend to look a bit dressy for work. Being made of light weight fabric these designer Anarkali suits drape extremely well on one’s body. They also tend to cover ones flaws and make the heavy weight ones look slim and trim. Tall people have a wider option and also suits them giving them the nice statuesque look. It may be a bit disappointing but the short built ones better avoid it as you could end up drowning in it. And the best part is you can avoid wearing the dupatta too. The multiple range of readymade Anarkalis are available in traditional as well as modern looks. And material can also be bought and stitched as per your size. You can check in your local stores or go online for the design and pattern of your choice and wear this regal suit till we come back with a new trend in the market!

FRAGRANT SECRETS Most of us like to wear fragrances. If this reminds you of buying a new one, make it a rule never to try more than three scents at one time when you are shopping for a new fragrance. Your nose will lose its ability to tell the difference. if the store has coffee beans, smell them in between choices. Apply the fragrance where the blood vessels are closest to the skin giving off more heat and acting like mini fragrance pumps. Pulse points are the wrist, behind the ear, crook of the arm and knee, base of the throat, at the ankles, they allow the fragrance to blossom up. To help your fragrance last longer use a matching body lotion or unscented body lotion to apply to pulse points before applying your fragrance. A person's body chemistry, diet and age affect fragrances on the skin. Certain essential oils in the perfumes have affinity to our skin, and they may be absorbed while others may not. and that's the reason fragrances smell differently on different people. Store the bottles in a Cool, dry and dark place. Do not expose the fragrance for any length of time to sun light. You can put a few drops of your favorite fragrance in a bath or a few drops in the water when washing your clothes or spray on artificial flowers. - Prathyusha

RUNWAY FEET Something that keeps changing and repeating?! Fashion Trend... Dresses, designs, colors, looks..all follow a trend, sometimes they are new, sometimes they are the old revamped ones. Footwear industry follows a trend, a season, an economy too. A few new designs that are basically inspired by the olden designs are hot now. With summer fast arriving in India, the flat soles would occupy the top shelves and the high heel versions rule every season anyways. For a lady who is used to wearing slight heeled versions, changing to a flat option suddenly would be shocking to her feet. The bones and nerves are not ready, so gradual change to flatter versions is suggested. However, wearing high heels often is not good for health, everyone suggests. It might be boring to hear the same story, but on a long run one can't escape but will realise. Wrong shoe size might result in foot corns and bad blood circulation. Afternoons are the best to buy footwear, thats when the feet breathe well and are in their actual size. So this time you want to buy a new pair, you might have to get permission from work or college to leave early. - Prathyusha Talluri
