HUNDREDS OF TELUGUS PAID RICH TRIBUTES TO DR. YSR IN NEW JERSEY, USAYEDUGURI SANDINTI RAJASEKHAR REDDY fondly known as YSR – one of the most admired Indian politicians of the current era – was expired on 2nd of this month. Non-Resident Telugus from various Telugu Associations such as ATA (American Telugu Association), NATS (North American Telugu Society), TFAS, TANA, TLCA…..etc arranged a SAMSMARANA SABHA on Saturday, September 12th, 2009 at Royal Albert Palace in New Jersey.

Hundreds of Telugus gathered at the venue and paid rich tributes to their dear leader who had an untimely death.

ATA leader MAHENDER MUSUKU invited all the attendees to the occasion and said YSR lived and died like a champion politician and hoped schemes and projects started by YSR will be finished for the benefit of the poorest.

SARVA MATHA PRARDHANALU (Prayers by all religious heads) were performed by Brother Phani Joshua and Hindu Priest Bala Krishna. Brother Phani Joshua quoted several verses from Bible and prayed for YSR and others who died along with him in the copter crash.

Hindu Priest BALA KRISHNA offered SANTHI PRAYERS to keep YSR and others souls in peace. Congressman UPENDRA CHIVUKULA recalled his association with YSR and how he hosted him graciously at his house when he visited India. Upendra offered his deepest condolences to YSR’s family and Indian people for the sudden loss of a great leader.

NATS (North American Telugu Society) Director VIJAY REDDY said it is the saddest period for all Telugus and said People like YSR would live in the hearts of every one for ever. Vijay Reddy hoped his successor JAGAN would fulfill all the tasks left behind by the sudden demise of Dr. YSR.

MAHESH SALADI of IOC (Indian Oversees Congress) said every one read history but only few people like YSR create history and it is unimaginable to imagine CONGRESS PARTY with out YSR and offered deepest condolences to every oneVIJAY ANNAPUREDDY OF ATA recalled his personal interaction with YSR and hoped the high command would oblige the wishes of millions of all Telugus and make YS JAGAN as the next Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Several Ministers of Andhra Pradesh Mrs. SABITHA INDRA REDDY, MOPIDEVI VENKATA RAMANA, SRIDHAR BABU, DAANAM NAGENDER, RAHUVEERA REDDY, Members of Parliament MADHU YASHKI GOUD, UNDAVALLI ARUNKUMAR and RAYAPATI SAMBASIVA RAO, Member of Legislative Assembly cine actress JAYASUDHA, MLC Rudraraaju, N. RAMACHANDRA RAO addressed the participants via video conference and recalled their association with YSR and hoped his son JAGAN would be given chance to become the CM and will continue the legacy of his late father.

DAMU GEDALA & Anand Paluri OF TFAS, SAILAJA ADLURI of TAGDV, Madhu Korrapati of NATS (North American Telugu Society), Arjun Dyapa and Mohan Patolla of ATA (American Telugu Society) offered deepest condolences. Hundreds of Telugu People packed the venue ROYAL ALBERT PALACE and paid rich tributes to Dr. YSR and held a Candle light vigil while remembering their NAVVULA RAA RAAJU Dr. YSR. All the attendees signed in the Condolence Message Book.

Vijay Reddy of NATS thanked all the participants for coming and thanked ALBERT JASSANI of Royal Albert Palace for providing the venue for the meet at no cost.
