The god’s own country Kerala has been devastated by heavy floods since two weeks. It is estimated that the floods have caused a loss of over thousands of crores to the state. More than 300 lives were lost and the whereabouts of thousands of people are still unknown. More than ten lakh people have lost their shelter and many of them are taking refuge in government provided relief camps. However here is the good news! The fortnight long rains were slowing down and the flood water is receding. Transport and train services were partially restored.
