The Telangana Rashtra Samithi leadership has decided to revoke suspension of three MLAs who allegedly indulged in cross-voting in the MLC elections held in March. Anticipating revocation of their suspension, MLAs E Ravinder Reddy (Yallareddy), Kaveti Sammaiah (Sirpur) and K Vidyasagar Rao (Korutla) are actively taking part in the TRS programmes and the ongoing Sakala Janula Samme.
The three TRS MLAs seem to have benefited from the ongoing Samme though it affected all sections of society in Telangana, as it has given them a political rebirth. At the time of suspension, TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao declared that the party would take stringent action against trio as they betrayed the cause of Telangana. Rao on several occasions said the ruling Congress and the opposition Telugu Desam failed to take action against some of their MLAs who also indulged in cross-voting.
After the commencement of Sakala Janula Samme of Telangana Political JAC on September 13, the suspended TRS MLAs started actively taking part in several protests organised in their respective Assembly constituencies as part of the stir. They also took part in the Banswada byelection campaign. Ravinder Reddy also attended the swearing-in ceremony of Banswada legislator Pocharam Srinivas Reddy. All these developments have indicated that the TRS is set to lift the suspension on the three MLAs.
