The TDP and BJP poll alliance has further widen the gap between two parties at state level, instead of strengthening bonds between them. The reason, as everyone knows seat sharing. Leaders of both parties are fuming on their high commands for giving advantage to the other, while betraying their chance of contesting elections. The havoc in two parties is so much that it creates very embarrassing moments for their high commands.

BJP Telangana state president Kishan Reddy, who is strongly opposing alliance with TDP, has skipped the joint press meet with Chandrababu. However, later he told the media he couldn’t attend the press meet only because he is trying to pacify the BJP workers, who start a dharna at his office protesting alliance. He assured that he will convince them in a couple of days and ensure their support and co-ordination to candidates of both parties. Warangal district BJP president Edla Ashok has resigned to his post protesting alliance.

BJP senior leader Prakash Jawadekar also couldn’t escape the ire of his party workers. They surrounded him at Patancheru, when he came to visit party office there. They protested leaving Patancheru Assembly seat to TDP.

On the other end, TDP workers and leaders also have staged dharna in front of the party office protesting handing over key constituencies to BJP to have poll alliance with it.

Senior TDP leader, Mianampalli Hanumantha rao, who said that he was assured of Malkajgiri ticket burst with anger on Chandrababu. He resigns to party and declared that he will contest from Malkajgiri as independent candidate. He said he has been looking after Malkajgiri for the last four years, only after he was assured of ticket. He said he will win the elections and prove his strength.

Overall TDP and BJP aspirants, who are losing their seats to other party candidates, are throwing challenges to their parties. Indeed, both parties are facing quite a peculiar situation because of the alliance. However, they expect the heat will cool down in a day or two after consultations with those victims.
