Rajnikanth speaking at his upcoming movie Linga curtain raiser function held at Hyderabad on Monday said, “This is a period film. The story takes place between 1948 and 58 period. It revolves around a huge dam. Our technicians did a tremendous job. We the actors come and do our part in the last minute, but they put lots of efforts to glorify each and every scene of the movie. After seeing their hard efforts and great workmanship, I feel myself second to them. There are 40 very important and very difficult scenes in this movie. They would be highlight of this movie. We all worked so hard to deliver a unique movie. I hope people will have a whole new kind of experience with this movie.” “I heard our make-up man is saying that he worked very hard to present me very young and handsome to match my young heroines. But, I would like to say that I have sweated a lot to sing duets with these two young girls Anushka and Sonakshi Sinha. I think it is a punishment for an elder person like me to shake legs with the young girls, but somehow I managed it.” “Anushka and Sonakshi Sinha are very busy artists. There are hundred artists in our movie. There are several very complicated shots in this movie. But, our director has winds-up the film just within six months. It is very hard to believe, but he did it. Hollywood film makers take lots of time in pre-production, but complete the shooting in a very short time. I think our director also seems to be followed the same technique to complete the shooting in-time.” “I don’t mean that I am pointing at Rajamouli, who is making film ‘Bahubali’ for last one and half years. He is a great director and I would love to work in his direction. I also like to work in Allu Arvind’s movie, but I suggest him to first complete the 150th movie of Chiranjeevi.” “Some persons have claimed the story of this Linga movie is theirs, but I don’t think so. I am sure this film would give a different experience to Telugu audiences. I thank them for encouraging me like our Tamil audiences.” Jagapathibabu, Anushka, Sonakshi Sinha, producer Allu Arvind, directors K Viswanath, and Tivikram Srinivas, Ramesh Prasad and many eminent people have graced the function. Noted Telugu actress Hema in an interview given to media recently said “I wish the film industry shift to Andhra Pradesh State. Whether it shifts or not, I am planning to construct a film studio between Rajhamundry and Rajole in my native East Godavari district.
