During a party meeting held a month ago, YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy has assigned his sister Sharmila the duty of strengthening his party in the Telangana state, though he appointed Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy as the party working president of the state. Hence, Sharmila begins her Paramarsha Yatra in Mehboob Nagar district four days ago and to console the family members of the persons, who died some six years ago.

She has visited bereaved family members in Narsappaguda, Mallapur of Kotthur mandal in Mehboob Nagar district on Saturday. Speaking to the media, “My visit is quite personal. It is a pure personal matter between their and our families and not any political one. So, my visit shouldn’t be seen as a politically motivated one. There are no political intentions behind my tour” said Sharmila.

During her five day tour, after reminding the people about her late father YSR’s golden era and about his welfare schemes, she criticizes the ruling TRS government very softly for neglecting the farmers’ suicides. However, she is not consoling the bereaved families of those farmers because they are not in her list.

Her brother Jagan Mohan Reddy has made it clear that he is purposely sending her into Telangana to strengthen his party and she is precisely executing the task assigned to her with her tour. Despite all this, she wants the people believe that she has no political intentions at all. If she has no political intentions at all, she would have straight away visited the families and returned home without doing all this hungama.

Her brother Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced that he is sitting on a two-day hunger strike in Tanuku city in West Godavari in the next month, protesting the state government’s failure to implement all its elections promises including the crop loans waiver. But, his intention is to garner the farmers’ support to his party with this issue. Probably, the YSR Congress party has lost the confidence of the people because of maintaining this kind of double standards.
