Tamil Nadu witnessed a dramatic turn of events in last few months, after demise of former chief minister Jayalalithaa. O Panneerselvam took charge as Chief Minsiter and ruled the state for nearly two months. Then, AIADMK chose Sasikala to replace OPS as CM. Initially, OPS obliged Party’s decision, but on the same day he slammed Sasikala camp for forcing him to resign for CM post.

When things were set for Sasikala to sworn-in as CM, Governor Vidya Sagar Rao’s absence made her to wait for couple of days. But, Supreme Court verdict of convicting Sasikala in disproportionate assets case, made her to look for plan B.

Sasikala’s close aide Palaniswamy was given chance to form government. Today, he won trust of vote after chaos in assembly and he now has no temporary hurdles to continue as CM. However, political analysts say, Palaniswamy may not continue as CM for long time with rebel leader Panneerselvam and opposition leader Stalin opposing him. The political endeavors in the state might have bothered actor Kamal Haasan.

“I've seen MLAs of the then ADMK now Congress walk away with bunch of plucked microphones. The English TV anchors were too young to remember. We do. There you go.  Seems like, we have another CM. Jai de-mockcrazy. People of Tamizhnadu, Welcome your respective MLAs with the respect they deserve back home,” tweeted Kamal expressing his agony over ‘Tamil politics’.
