Enforcement Directorate has been attaching properties worth hundreds of crores of Jagan Mohan Reddy and his associates during last one and half years. However, it has never laid its hands on his Sakshi media or its properties. But, for the first time, ED has attached the buildings of his Sakshi media in Kareem Nagar, Nalgonda and Mehboob Nagar in Telangana state, Kurnool, Nellore, Prakasham, Chittoor and one in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh state yesterday.

Probably, this may badly affect Sakshi publications. To be frank, Jagan’s idea of launching Sakshi print and electronic media proved a very wise. It is his Sakshi media through which he is able to defend himself from his rival party’s attacks and vent his anger on them. It proved to be a very power weapon for him. In case if it is not there, probably Jagan Mohan Reddy may not get this much of limelight at all. Even, he may not be able to convey his party ideology to the people, especially to die-hard followers of his party.

Perhaps, he may afford to loose few hundreds of crores but can’t afford to have a scratch on his media. The ED has not just scratched his media but virtually digs a big pit by attaching more than half a dozen buildings and some printing machinery of his Sakshi media yesterday. So, it would be a deadly blow for him. Apart from disruption in its publications, he may feel quite embarrassed to face his rival political parties and the media as well.
