Cabinet Post Eludes Chiranjeevi Again

News spread like wildfire last weekend that PRP chief Chiranjeevi would be getting the much awaited cabinet post along with RLD chief Ajit Singh in the on going expansion of the Central Cabinet. But this time too, the cabinet post has eluded the PRP chief. Video Source: snehatv.com
Congress senior MP Kavuri Sambasiva Rao appears to be the reason behind Chiranjeevi not getting the post this time. According to sources, Kavuri is reported to have taken a serious objection to the party High Command offering central minister post to Chiranjeevi, ignoring the claims of senior MPs like him who have been loyally serving the party for the past more than 20 years. Another senior Congress MP from the state, Rayapati sambasiva Rao is also a contender for the central cabinet post.
Not only at the Center, there appears to be problems for even his other followers getting into the state cabinet. Minister and Royalaseema leader T G Venkatesh has categorically said that PRP men including Chiranjeevi will not be accommodated either in the center or the state. The PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayan's statement that PRP leaders have to wait till February next year, also hints at Chiranjeevi has been sidelined both at the center and state cabinet expansions.
