Aakash Tablet PC : The much awaited Akash Tablet is now available for sell on Friday. The world's ultra low cost tablet PC is available for customers and it can be booked online. The pilot version of Akash PC, mainly for students, is priced at Rs 2500. This is available for all whether they are students are not. The Canadian company DataWind, who manufactured the Akash tablet, said that the online booking is available for students version and the pre booking is for UbiSlate 7, the upgraded version for all. The commercial version of Akash Tablet, UbiSlate 7 is priced at Rs 2,999. However, payment mode for both versions is cash on delivery.The delivery of UbiSlate 7 will start from January 2012. The delivery will be made within a week of online booking.

The commercial version of Aakash tablet will sport Android 2.3 and will have a resistive touchscreen and Cortex A8-700 MHz processor and. It is also powered with graphics accelerator HD video processor, 256 MB of RAM and 2 GB of internal memory. Other specifications are a one standard USB port, 3.5 mm audio jack, a 7 inch display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, resistive touchscreen, GPRS and WiFi support.
