Chandrababu Cancels Birthday Plans for Farmers

TDP President Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu today announced that there would be no birthday celebrations for him this year, his 63rd birthday. In a statement released at NTR Bhavan today the TDP president said that in view of the farmers distress due to drought, lack of remunerative prices for farm produce, loss of cultivable lands to SEZ, lack of jobs, livelihood options,and driven to starvation. He said he had decided to cancel all celebrations as the people of the state were driven to the wall with all hurdles and certainties and unresolved issues. Sri Naidu appealed to all party leaders and workers instead to participate in mass movements and strive for welfare of people of all sections of society.
