AICC official spokes person Chacko, who earlier has assured the Telangana Congress MPs that Telangana is on Congress agenda and the matter will be resolved at the earliest, has said today that Telangana is not in UPA manifesto. He refused to elaborate the matter any further.

But, his statement indicates that Congress has no plans to take any favorable decision on Telangana issue in its present term.

The timing of his statement is very significant. His statement comes soon after Sonia Gandhi had a meeting with K.Keshav rao, who said he has discussed all the issues including Telangana.

He also said that their meeting was quite cordial and he is quite satisfied with the meeting. Chacko’s latest statement on Telangana, underlines that the same has been conveyed to Keshav rao and he is convinced with party’s decision. However, Chacko’s statement has comes as a big shock to Telangana Congress leaders, who are taking cover under high command. Chacko’s statement virtually stripped off their cover and will puts them in front of TRS as if they were punching bags.

Actually, Keshav rao’s meeting with Sonia Gandhi has pulled the carpet under TRS feet, which believed lost in the game. But, Chacko’s statement has breathed life into TRS. Now, it has enough reasons to attack on Congress leaders.

But, the million dollar question is why did Chako stirred this new controversy, while everything is going smooth with Telangana issue? Is Congress high command also wants to keep the Telangana fire live till the elections? Is it intentionally provoking TRS and pro Telangana leaders for unknown reasons?
