With the Sakala Janula Samme coming to an end with all the striking employees unions joining work, the state ministers from Telangana region have decided to return to work from October 27. Barring few from the region, most of the ministers were on 'non-cooperation' stance since more than three months now. The ministers will also attend the Cabinet meeting scheduled for October 29. Reportedly, the Chief Minister Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy met T-ministers at his camp office on Tuesday night and convinced them to withdraw their 'non-cooperation' stir.
The chief minister is said to have told them that since the government staff had withdrawn the strike, ministers too should get back to work. The Chief Minister also urged his colleagues to take part in the 15-day Rachchabanda-2 programme in their constituencies and ensure effective implementation of welfare schemes. The ministers readily agreed. However, the Cabinet meeting will take the final decision on whether the T-ministers will attend the state formation day celebrations on November 1. "In view of the appeal from the Chief Minister, we have agreed to cooperate," said state minister, Mr Basavaraj Saraiah.
