Andhra Pradesh state, which is going to be divided into two states very soon, is passing through very odd situation at its end. Neither the state and union governments nor the state political parties shows any maturity in resolving the crisis. Both the governments and political parties are playing their cards to gain upper hand over the rest in this dirty political game, leaving the people of the state in a miserable situation.

While, CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, who is opposing his party high command’s decision, is absconding from his duties, his ministers are busy crossing swords with their counterparts. The situation is same with the state government employees in the capital. Rests of the employees in Seemandhra region, who have been striking for the last two weeks have virtually brought the administration to a standstill position. Yet, the UPA government takes no initiative to resolve the issue.

Perhaps, the central government is of the view that time alone can resolve all the issues. So, it is sitting quite cool watching the developments in the state. Probably, it believes that the ongoing Seemandhra NGOs strike will also ends up, the way the month long ‘Sakala Janula Samme’ observed by Telangana NGOs in the last year. If so, people of the state have to wait for the break-up of AP NGOs strike and shouldn’t expect any solution from either state government or central government.
