“Health is wealth”, all of us are well familiar with this quote but do most of us understand it. Health is the major aspect which keeps our body and mind running.


A healthy diet can keep us healthy and fit and help us in keeping up our routines in the best way possible. Again a question comes here, what is healthy diet? What to eat and what not to eat. In this fast moving world it merely not possible to follow a strict diet daily to keep yourself healthy, but it is not impossible it just needs little dedication and contingency. Here are some healthy food habits which will help you in taking initial steps towards healthy you.


1. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as the energy levels are mostly low and body craves for high energy, it’s good to eat breakfast made up of whole grains and fresh fruits. High fibre foods and low fat foods are the best to start your day with.


2. Eating food on time and having small and healthy snacks between meals is the best way to keep you well filled with energy.


3. Avoid skipping meals, it makes you over eat at the next meal which burdens your digestive system. Drinking a glass of water 30 minutes before your meal will help you from over eating.


4. Drink plenty water which flushes toxins away from your system cleansing it.


5. Eat low fat and low carbohydrate food with fresh fruits and vegetables which are rich in vitamins and minerals will keep you healthy and happy.
