Responding to a complaint from opposition parties, elections office served notices to Telangana Chief Minister KCR and to IT and Panchayat Raj Minister K Taraka Rama Rao for violating elections code of conduct. CM KCR was served notice for meeting party leaders of Khammam district in his official residence and for making some promises to them. Minister KTR was served notices for inviting other parties’ leaders into TRS party in his chamber in Secretariat. They both were asked to give explanation within 48 hours. TRS has been inducting other parties’ MPTCs in a bid to win the MLC elections. But, Minister KTR might have ignored or forgot the point that he can’t do such things in his office, which is considered as violation of elections code.
