RTC to announce hike in Bus fare

Making efforts to reduce the burden, RTC has chalked out few proposals to increase the bus charges by at least 20 per cent, RTC Managing Director N. Sanbashiva Rao two days ago handed over proposals to Transport Minister Siddha Ragava Rao in secretariat.

As the government called for “Nava Nirmana Dheeksha” from june 2-8, hike likely to be announced after this program. Initially, government decided to wait till Telangana government to make an announcement on the hike, but bifurcation of the RTC has been postponed to three more months caused government to announce hike as soon as possible.

RTC mentioned in the proposal that hike is inevitable as no announcement has been made since last two years. It is estimated that nearly 830 crores burden will thrown on the shoulders of the common people.
