Congress and TRS won Council Elections

 

The week long suspense on the Telangana Council elections ends with the verdict announced a short while ago. As predicted, all the five candidates of the TRS party and the one candidate of the Congress won the MLC elections. TDP candidate lost the battle to the TRS 5th candidate.

 

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari, Minister for Roads and Building Tummala Nageswara Rao, Neti Vidyasagar Rao, Yadav Reddy and B Venkateswarulu won the council elections.

 

Except, CPI and CPM all the 118 MLAs of all political parties have utilized their voting rights today. Total 118 MLAs have casted their votes today and five of them were declared invalid and one is NOTA. TRS cadres are grandly celebrating the victory. Congress party also had a sigh of relief as it managed to pass its one MLC candidate Akulala Lalitha in the high tense council elections.
