Is bifurcation delaying due to APNGOs strike

The one-day Seemandhra bandh call given by AP NGOs for yesterday has received a spontaneous response from the people. As a result, the region virtually comes to a standstill paralyzing the normal life. Ashok babu, the president of AP NGOs has told the media that they will intensify their Samaikyandhra agitations from next month, if Center doesn’t respond to their demand of rolling back its decision of dividing the state.

However, the Center reiterates its stand on bifurcation and takes light of the ongoing agitations in the region. At the same time, it shows no courage in pushing the T-Note into Cabinet meeting.

Ashok babu claims that Center is hesitant only because it is feeling immense pressures created out of their agitations. He observed that Speaker has cancelled the appointment of the Congress MPs and went on tour only due to this reason, otherwise she would have approved their resignations without any delay. Hence, he asks the Seemandhra MPs, MLAs and Ministers to constantly maintain the pressure on the government until its roll back its decision. He suggested them to press for approval of their resignations. The ongoing APNGOs strike, Samaikyandhra agitations and the Seemandhra leaders’ pressures are collectively applying brakes to the Center from going ahead with its decision.
