Telangana TDP Forum leaders Motkupalli Narasimhulu, Errabelli Dayakar Rao and several others were arrested by police in a bid to thwart clash between TDP and TRS groups. Tension prevailed for sometime at Gun Park Martyrs' Memorial on Saturday morning, as TDP forum leaders led by Dayakar Rao and Motkupalli gathered there in large numbers and started shouting anti TRS/KCR slogans. Earlier on Friday, Motkupalli Narasimhulu had thrown a challenge to TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao to prove his loyalty towards Telangana. Motkupalli had said "I am ready to hang myself to prove my loyalty towards the cause of Telangana, if you (KCR) are also equally loyal, come and prove it at Gun Park tomorrow." But KCR ignored the challenge and didn't come to the venue today.
However, some TRS activists reached there with ropes and told Narasimhulu that they are ready for the challenge. With both groups entering into heated arguements, police sensed trouble and intervened. They arrested Motkupalli Narasimhulu, Errabelli Dayakar Rao and several other leaders and shifted them to undisclosed police station. Police also took some TRS activists in to custody.
