Shankar Rao Targets CM Kiran Once Again

Sacked textiles minister P Shankar Rao, who has been attacking Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy day in and day out, has come out with yet another slogan – Kiran hatao, Congress bachao (Sack Kiran, Save Congress). Shankar Rao, who was not allowed to enter the Congress Legislature Party office for the second successive day on Friday to address the media, was furious at the way he was turned down by the CLP office.
“I am a Congress MLA and not an MLA of the Telugu Desam Party or the BJP. By not allowing me to enter the CLP office, the Chief Minister has displayed his upper caste arrogance. It is a humiliation to all the Dalits. I am going to file an SC/ST atrocities case against the CM and the CLP office bearers,” he said.
The former minister said Dalits had been meted out justice during the regime of Indira Gandhi.
“But because of certain anti-Dalit leaders like Kiran, the party is getting a bad name. The party will get back its glory only if these Dalit betrayers are sacked from the party,” he said.
