No Rollback in Petrol Price Hike: Jaipal Reddy

Union Petroleum Minister Jaipal Reddy on Friday said that there won't be any immediate rollback on the petrol price hike. While speaking to media after his meeting with the Prime Minister, Jaipal Reddy told that no instant solutions are available to fuel price hike crisis. "Petrol price decision was taken by oil companies, we will watch situation for a few days. We are aware of consumers' dissatisfaction on petrol price hike, but we can't allow oil companies' image to be adversely affected, we have decided to watch the situation for a few days," said the minister.
Meanwhile, Trinamul Congress chief and UPA partner Mamata Banerjee has announced holding a march against petrol price hike on Saturday. Samajwadi Party too has announced UP bandh on 31 May as anti-petrol price hike protest.
